The pediment is embellished with rosettes, modillions and scrollwork on the gable interior. On the pediment are two frolicking angels, sculpted by Filippo Carcani. The latin phrase ALTARE PRIVILEGIATUM PERPETUUM means that a plenary indulgence is granted whenever Mass is celebrated there.
